... at the meet .... what is the correct way to iron a shirt .....

as i got told and katex got told by a fella that we iron shirts the wrong way ... so what is the correct way to iron a shirt ...


(i said id post it ... heth :D)
 
Collar - from points in, towards centre. ( There's more cloth on the outside, and needs to be eased in, to avoid creasing.)

Cuffs. Front sleeve, back sleeve and placket.

Front, back, front.

Shoulder yoke.

Preferably hang.

If travelling, and needs folding, fold down either side oF collar, so you don't see a crease, if worn under a jacket.

If too much of a chore, look out for vintage shirts...from Brentford Nylons.

Katex and you do it in the nude, whilst the fella wore his pants and vest?

The best way to iron a shirt according to Reece is...... Shove it in the dryer for a few minutes when mum aint watching, he's been able to iron for years, if i catch him putting things in the dryer to get the creases out he gets made to get the iron out instead

i demonstrated on the spugster as he was the only one at the smokers table wearing a shirt ...:D:D the front, back, front, sleeves cuffs, and then the collar ....

katex was near enough the same as you rindy ... except she said cuffs first ...
 
When Darwendosser pointed out that he could iron shirts better than me I delegated the job

.....and bought him an ironing board for his birthday
 
I just send 'em to the Chinese laundry. My 'owd mate Pong Dong does an excellent job - 10 for a fiver.
