A Happy Accident.

Is there such a thing?
If you break a leg, or have a fall or crash your car...these are most definitely NOT happy accidents.
Perhaps my terminology is wrong...perhaps I should use the word 'Serendipity'.
Serendipity is the 'coming upon something by chance'

Yes, I think 'serendipity' is the right word.

What the heck am I talking about?

Well over the last few days I have had knocks on my door from people wanting occasion cards at short notice.
Yesterday, one of my regular buyers came and asked if I could make a special Christening card for today.
This man is heading off to Thailand tonight...the Christening of his friends baby is tomorrow....he said he did not have time to shop for it write it and take it round as he was in the midst of getting packed and sorted for his month long trip.

I told him 'No Problem'
I did the card, wrote some prose, and posted it through his door just about three hours later.
Then came someone who wanted a 'Special' card for a male friend whois having a 60th birthday.
She had lookede around the shops and found nothing that she liked and someone told her that I make personalised cards...write verses....make something that was really special.

That was also done complete with a verse....a tuxedo card....very smart.
She has not seen it yet.
Then I was asked for a birthday card for a sixteen year old girl...again to be personalised.

So that was sdone...complete with verse.

I put a note on the envelopes for my cards....it might be 'Made Just for You'...or it might be Made with Love....it might be happy Birthday.....and I used to stamp these words on...but recently I have been doing this special lettering...so I have been using that instead of stamps.

I was writing on one of the envelopes 'Specially made for you'...the Tuxedo card was going to go into this envelope.....but I was distracted by the cats...they were noseying about in my workspace(they like to run off with my stamps or paintbrushes...neither of them can stamp or paint) so I inadvertently spelled Specially without the C.

Oh blast, damn and buggerations....a good quality(not cheap) envelope spoilt.

Except I could not throw it away.
Today i was messing about with some very pretty patterned card.
I cut a square diagonally across and the two bit matched the envelope flap(where my glaring mistake was) perfectly.

So I have covered up my boo-boo and made an envelope look really lovely.

So that was my Happy Accident...sorry...I mean serendipity.
