I posted this in the Accyweb problems thread but have since thought that thread being as big as it is the post might just get lost in there so for those of you that want to know, but don't want to dredge through the complaints here it is again.:cool:

Thanks for that tink's you are exactly right, just to let you and the others know, I was speaking to Roy tonight.
He asked me to let his 'friends' know that since February he has been in and out of the country travelling to such exciting places as Siberia and Nottingham (you try getting a connection in Nottingham, erm sorry anyone from Nottingham I mean Siberia!).
He has not had a proper day off in all that time for his young family never mind accyweb. However he wants me to tell you that he knows there is a problem with the server and will sort it tomorrow (wednesday).
accyweb is and will always be his baby and he has no intention of abandoning it, he has great plans in fact for it's future but I will let him tell you those when he has a spare moment.

He also asked me to thank the mod's who have had to put up with quite alot of flak dished out by the more intolerant amongst us during this time, (he hinted that there would be a big drink in it for your efforts on his behalf).

Right I've done as I was asked now I'm out of here, yet again thanks Tinks I'll drop you some karma off as soon as/if ever I manage to get this post on line!

Hi Less, Thanks for the news.

Hope Roy manages to find some time to have a break. It sounds like he's rushed off his feet. Nottingham? Good grief!!!

Now this has to be an indication of how addictive AccyWeb is when people will battle through the blank pages, the "server not found" and even hints by Firefox that maybe AccyWeb is a figment of my imagination!!:D

I tend to pop on between bits of housework and i was getting withdrawal symptoms.
 
Right i have spoken to Roy this morning (wednesday) as accyweb did go down this morning but everything should be ok now and he will be working on things over this weekend .
so here is hoping and thanks for waiting.
 
thought it was just me and the security settings at work that would not let me on LOL so no complaints from me

Yes, it's true but the money was never recovered and the identity of the 'Mr Big' behind it was never revealed.

He would have been out months ago with good behaviour but, when has Roy ever used good behaviour?

Less you have been told before not to give too much info away please be carefull what you say .
And whatever you do dont tell them Roy is in hiding or where he is please

Having just come across the message which started this thread, I now realise why Less was so oversensitive about my "helpful suggestion".

Had I realised there was currently a problem I would have waited until a more suitable time. But I really do stress that in no way was I "getting at" the moderators. I was hoping to lighten their burden, not add to it.

Anyway, sorry about my bad timing.

I am now doing penance with a spot of self-flagellation. :(:whip:

And here's a big wet sloppy kiss to make up :kiss:

If you look at the date of that post a later post from Roy would inform you that happily that is old news. We are back....

Please don't punish yourself for it, as for the kiss you should be very careful about dishing out your favours, you don't know where I've been!

I think I just about realised that. Since my posts are appearing without problems. It was nevertheless a stressful and worrying time for the mods. Hence my apology to them.

Don't flatter yourself - the kiss was for the moderators. They're the ones who've been under stress.
