A quiet Sunday.

It has been a quiet day for us today. Normally at the weekend we ask my daughter and her husband and the ankle biter to share a meal with us, but somehow this weekend we got our wires crossed......I thought hubby had asked them over......he thought I had asked them over and when the confusion had cleared and I DID ask them they had already made plans....... this means that the roast of beef that I did for us all to share will be getting eaten in different guises for the beginning of the week.......fortunately I hadn't peeled a whole lot of veg or I think I would have been spitting.
The family did come over for a fleeting visit though......mainly to ask if we could take care of the ankle biter while my daughter goes for a scan tomorrow. I said no, because he was a little monster...... but grandpa Dave said yes......so that's that fixed.
He says yes and I do the looking after.

It has been another windy day again, but the wind has not been quite as fierce......at least I got all the sheets washed and dried.......and I steam cleaned the carpet in the front room and the living room...so I reckon I will be pretty stiff tomorrow.

Hubby was telling son-in-law about the new car he is getting..... he is like a kid at Christmas.... he can't wait.
