Can anyone remeber who performed a song called Acid, probably in 1988/89?

Popular in clubland, but I think it charted as well.

I think the only lyric was 'Accccccccccccccid', drawn out like that, and repeated over a techno beat.

Please help, it's been bugging me for ages.

They used to play it a lot at a club called the Pig Pen, and I remember dancing to it, after I'd finished my duties as a door whore.

House not techno I suppose, and I can't remember any of the other lyrics, perhaps our DJ played a mix without 'em.

That's it though Emzy, thank you xxx

The version I remembered was more like this, but I would never have found it without the spelling on the D-Mob original.

Happy days.

Up until 4.30 every Monday night, and at work four hours later, suited and booted, hopefully not still wearing a floral headress.

:D

I only went to places with one podium....for me to exclusively lead the dancers.:p

It was an exciting time.

I remember clubbing in London in 1985 and it was rubbish. I though at twenty my clubbing days were over.

Billy's, the Blitz, Camden Palace were long over, and then came Acid House, and my raving continued for many more years.

:D

Blumming heck im gutted had many a house track on vinyl, sadly probably ended up on some tip somewhere :( not found any in my cd collection apart from technotronic & adamski

But least got me dusting the cd collection off lol!!

:D

wasnt my stuff when it broke.went hacienda to see new order, birthday party, cocteau twins etc in early 80's and it was great, but when they started all that dance/rave stuff i dumpted it and didnt renew it or go again.
hope hooky and mani new club fac 251 has better music.prob not for me though.who knows!!

I still can't understand why anybody in their right mind would want to put any substance in the body just for kicks, its like playing Russian Roulette with your body

It's usually low self-esteem, no confidence, and lack of imagination.
