Pleeeze, will some one explain to me WHAT EXACTLY IS A CHAV ?? my grandaughter (who has leanings to the Goth look and seemingly arch-enemies of such a sect) has attempted to explain this phenomena of grouping to me, but they just appear to look like down and out sloppy teenagers in tracky bottoms, dirty trainers and baseball hats to cover their unwashed hair

You got it hun, though the boy's may have accessorised by having a butch dog on a chain, and the girl's might have a baby in a pram, wearing a matching baseball cap.
Burberry usually features somewhere and the baby is usually called Kandeese or Courtnee.
They have no goal in life, but they do have plenty of bling.

I wear lots of 'bling' then .. just love all the cheap jewellery about now, better than pretentious real gold chains, rings etc .. that really turns me off a fella.
So .. what is the difference between a Chav and a Townie then ?
