Ah Well!

It was hubbys birthday yesterday.....he was 63, the old bugger!
For weeks I had been deliberating what to get him as a present. He is never impressed whatever I get for him....and to be honest I have thought in the past 'why do I bother?'........he doesn't bother to think of anything to get me.....or he hasn't done in the last few years.
When I was away with Muti I saw a lovely pair of soft leather moccasins....so I bought those.....his reaction 'Hmmmph, I have some moccasins - what did you buy me some for?' Ungrateful wretch, I muttered under my breath. I also bought a credit card holder in soft black leather.....not to put credit cards in. I made 24 photo's of the G'children, his Ma and the dog....a bit like a 'Brag' book. I also had some special smiler postage stamps printed for him with the tiny terrors picture on......I am not sure what he thought of those gifts because he didn't make a comment...... I also gave him some money so that he could buy himself something too........are most men just grumpy old buggers.....? Or have I got a booby prize? Never mind. Just keep smiling.....it makes folk wonder what you are up to. Today, it was washing the bedding. I got the sheets and pillow cases washed and then the duvet cover......all out on the line blowing merrily in the breeze. They blew so merrily they almost ended up on my neighbours garage roof. what a good drying day it was. I don't think there is anything as nice as the smell of freshly line dried bedding...well unless it is a bacon butty on a toasted teacake.....which is what I had today for lunch...except that the bacon wasn't really bacon at all, but Turkey bacon......and believe me it was lovely. So if any of you out there want to try it, you can get it from Margerisons turkey stall on Blackburn market.

That indifferent 63 year old is the same person that thrilled us, and you, in your courtship blog.

Happy birthday Mr. motorcyclist.:) xxxx
