Looking for my uncle Toms obituary, in the Observer circa 1980s, Thomas Gilmartin, whalley Rd, Clayton-le-Moors. Where do I start, as I would like to get the others in the family, so I can get a print out.

- Thread starter Alan Gilmartin
- Start date
Accrington library has copies of old Observers on microfilm and you can print out the pages you need. You might need to get a more acurate date as you could end up trawling through months of papers and get easily distracted!!
Thanks uncle Miick, do you have the web address.
Oh no, you`ve got to go there in person..... but they are very helpful.
This link tells you what's available at Accrington Library: http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/libraries/services/local/accrington.asp#11
I think Alan would have a bit of difficulty going there in person as he lives in Tasmania!
Thanks everyone ,
