We are off to Manchester this afternoon, hopefully to speak to the specialist looking after Auntie Ros.

My Uncle isn't going, as he says he can't face it. He's moved into my cousin's house, and has even emptied the freezer at their house saying he is never going back.

It's a bit pathetic really, you can't just give up, you have to cope. What was the title of that book, 'Men are from planet Weak, Women are from Venus'?

I just found out from Mum yesterday that when my Dad's doctor gave him a fortnight to live, which I didn't know because they didn't want to tell me on the phone, Dad sent Mum to work because my brother needed her to help because Dad was off. That's the difference, no matter what is thrown at you, you have to carry on.

Anyway, going to have a bit off lunch and make sure I'm ready to be picked up at 1pm, as it will be after nine when we get back.

I've tried to set the new video, so it will be interesting to see if it records. Our first video we had 27 years ago, I could work so easliy, technology isn't always getting more straight forward. You need a degree in maths to understand these instructions.

Fingers crossed.

I've got everything crossed for your Aunt and for your video Rindy. I'm sure that my video is harder to programme than my old one used to be...
