Now the Nectar was pouring & I had to sit & watch as this beautiful Ambrosia wafted past my nose to the shower of Drunkards around me. Me ? I had "Äpfelschorle" me ! that's fizzy water with the taste of Apples, Ooomh, scrumptious. As the Drunks got drunker, conversations blossomed & fell, rose & shot off at tangents ! Beer talk eh ! tsk
See, now that's half the problem, if you aren't on the same alcohol level as the rest of 'em, well you've no chance of keeping up with the conversation, a couple of Beers inside 'em & they're away with the Fairies (that's the little winged pixie type ones here), & not the militant, Stonewall in/wearing leather chaps type ones, who go on parades & wiggle their buttocks at all & sundry (It's humour, don't go all indignant & have a hissy fit 
). Anyway by this time it's pushing on a bit, so best to leave them to their alcoholic musings, (we'd got to the level of Gibberish, which is bad enough, but in German !
). So homeward I ambled, to grab a couple of Beers & a bit of a read before sparking out.
