That building which is the present Post Office was not the one involved in th Black Panther Incident.
Being a former firearm owner, I was amongst those questioned by the police at the time, at that time I was living in Ormerod Court, which was at the other end of the Red Brick Row.
Retlaw.

We had the PO at Rising Bridge when Derek was murdered.
There but for the grace of God go I
I don't remember the building ever being changed, but I will ask my mother and
if it was I will post later in the week.

The wise one has replied. there were more cottages around the site called Kempts Court, years ago, but no the PO building is as it was on that terrible day.

Groove's uncle saw a man carrying a guitar case along Manchester.rd on the night of the robbery. It now transpires that Grooves uncle saw the Black Panther. Grooves uncle was going to Manchester to pick up the newspapers off the London train.

Years later I worked alongside the postmaster's daughter who had witnessed her father's death as a child. She was emotionally damaged - it showed sometimes.
