Best gigs

Never been to a bad gig, but the best three must be Top Loader, Atomic Kitten and Robbie Williams. Don't know why Atomic Kitten split up they were excellent live.

carling festival at leeds this year was amazing - seeing lostprophets and green day on the same bill was great - and iv got to say its the best iv seen greenday since they played manchester apollo in 2001, with their 'We Are The Champions' cover and a brilliant version of Good Riddance(Time Of Your Life), there's no question they are the best live band since the who.

the worst was velvet revolver - their stage presence is cool to watch - with stone temple pilots and gnr together n all that but OH MY GOD the music was god awful live

Best gig i attended was the verve at haigh hall park in wigan..in front of 60000 people..excellent gig..even lost not one but both my trainers..dont ask

My Bloody Valentine/Jesus and Mary Chain on the rollercoaster tour, Pixies in Preston, Walter Mitty's head/Sulphate Family at the Keighley Green.

Paul Weller is cancelled until February, due to him being hospitalised so I have to wait for that one. Off to see Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra on saturday. will let you know if it was good...

Best concert would have to be Madness years ago early 80's, would have gone to see Queen at knebworth Park in 1986 but ended pregnant and that was my due date...did he arrive oh no.....Trying to find dates for Status Quo as a surprise for my hubby, no luck yet.....

Metallica were the best band I've seen live (Big day out festival-Milton Keynes Bowl-1999)
Their stage show was excellent and included 30ft flames accompanying the song "Fuel".

It was a blinder of a show and I'm glad I saw them then, because seeing them now would be nowhere near as good especially since Jason Newstead left.

I've seen loads of amazing bands - RETH, EDT, Narcosis, Slayer, Raging Speedhorn, Pearl Jam, Eric Clapton, Nile, Stampin ground, Cathedral, Tomahawk....blah, blah.

The most amazing gig I went to would have to be Pantera (RIP Dimebag)
The worst gig would have to be System Of a Down - not too good live

After a long wait due to illness, we finally went to see the Modfather last night at the Apollo. It was worth the wait. Good gig, a few old faves popped into his repertoire, That's Entertainment, Broken Stones, You do something to me, the Changingman. Weller is a brilliant guitarist and the band sounded fantastic. After a decent 5 song encore he ended with Town called Malice. We definitely got our money's worth. :D

been to loads of gigs, mostly great, best i can remember was a Crystal Palace Garden Party, late 60s, Beach Boys, Joe Cocker, Sha-Na-Na, Richie Havens,Country Joe @ The Fish stage was a half-moon shape in a lake, P1ssed down all 24 hrs, a helicopter flew over the lake about 10-00 sat morning,n Keith Moon jumped out into the lake from about 50/60ft crazy git lol, Donovan turned up n gigged for nothing, one hell of a day.:);)

Saw Weller on the same bill as Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown & Mani, The Charlatans, Echo & The Bunnymen, Andy Rourke of The Smiths, Hooky of Joy Division/New Order ...and Johnny Vegas :)
Versus Cancer 2007 - Manchester MEN - 30/03/07. Brilliant gig.

Oasis in 2005 was probably the biggest gig I've been to.

My favourite gig though was The Verve on 21st December '07 at Manc Central (formerly GMEX). They played an unbelievable set, nearly every song had the hairs on the back of my neck right on end. The Coral supported too! Superb gig. Electric from start to finish.

been to hundreds so its hard to choose, so i`m gonna go for Bon Jovi @ City of Manchester Stadium 2006, a fantastic gig which was topped off when me and the missus got invited to watch 3 songs from onstage!!! shook hands with jon a few times, the missus swooned a few times and got some cracking pictures. take a look.:D:D:D:D

i went the manc v cancer also.it was very good.i thought echo and the bunnymen were the best, although only on about 15 minutes.went the yaer before as well mainly to see new order, but they did a joy division only set

Best ..either Tina Turner at the Oakland Coliseum or Stevie Ray Vaughn (opening act Bonnie Raitt) at Concord Pavilion

Worst/Saddest , a 70 odd year old Eartha Kitt doing a late night cabaret act , open air, mid afternoon at the Alameda County annual livestock show .

A close tie between Bobby "Blue" Bland at House of the Blues, New Orleans, 2003 and Champion Jack Dupree at Accrington Jazz Club, 1969.

well the best gig for me this millenium was tonights Van Morrison @ Blackpool Opera House, First class band, First class vocals, hard to distinguish between record n live, for me thats the mark of a great artist.:)
