Better....

Ok second attempt to submit a new entry as first one disappeared into the mystery world of the world wide web.

My son is a lot better today which is a relief as it was touch and go with his temperature yesterday which at one point spiked at 103!!!

He slept well last night which is more than can be said for me as I kept going and checking that his temperature was normal. Thankfully it was but everytime I checked he was wet through from sweating so hopefully he managed to sweat the virus out.

As for me well I am knackered and feeling (and looking) pretty rough. I have a banging head, sneezing and aching all over. At the moment I am putting it down to lack of sleep as I worked out that over the past 4 days I have had approx a total of 10 hours sleep!! Just praying I haven't caught anything from him. I haven't gone into work again today and typically this has come at a time when it is pretty manic there but there's not a lot I can do about that so they will just have to get on with it without me.

Oh well suppose I better get off and strip his sweaty bed and then try and get my head down for a kip.

Glad he is on the mend. My boys spike terrible temps when they are ill. I have got used to it now but at first we were always expecting a febril convulsion due to a temps of 41 degrees c. (105.8F) so we have spent many nights tepid sponging and staying awake to make sure they are ok! Anyway you can't be ill its the meet weekend and we wanna see your knees!!!
