I haven't had time to blog all week. I have been working, and I did a long day yesterday so that I could have today off. I am planning to take my nephew and niece to the park if the weather stays dry.
Sparky is doing alright in Italy. He is managing to find decent restaurants and is usually having his evening meal when I phone him. He is struggling to get internet access, so we are communicating via the phone and texts at the moment.
I have had a busy week at work. The staffing situation is no better and everyone is flying round like silly beggars. Theatre and gynae are also struggling, I have paid visits to both this week to help with various problems that have arisen. One of the junior midwives asked why should it fall on delivery suite to sort out problems in other areas, when really it's not our problem. My reply was that while every area is struggling for staff and busy, sometimes a bit of help with a problem can make your job a bit easier. It is important that there is co-operation between departments and if I needed help or advice with a problem, I wouldn't think twice about ringing theatre or gynae.......
I had the most patronising letter back from our Malta tour operator on friday. They are basically denying everything and calling us liars. I laughed my head off when I saw it, and I know exactly what I am going to write back. Althams have been great and have asked me to respond, they will send it for me, and I am going to hit em with the photographs this time. I have already posted our review and photos of Medallion Court on the trip advisor website, but with the glossy prints I have had done, you can see how dirty this place was....
A few bits and bobs in todays blog really.... I suppose I'd better shift my bum into gear now, have some caffeine, walk the dog and get ready for our excursion to the park. I may need a stiff drink when I get back.....
