Bogof

Anything not perishable I will get and put the extra one away to make hampers up for Christmas presents.

Have to admit i'm a sucker for BOGOF deals!
Working at Tesco dosen't help though there is stuff constantly on offer.

Thats me deffinately not going to stanley then, that bloke REALLY irritates me in the ads

I thought they wanted to encourage more people to go to Stanley matches.

I would certainly never go if they had that idiot there.

He irritates the hell out of me. He is currently doing an ad on the radio for the independent mortgage company and I can't bear it! :(

Whatever he advertises it just makes me not want to buy the product. I would never go to Safestyle because of him.

My friend went out in Whalley a couple of weeks back and bumped into him in a club. She said he was quite a hit with the ladies apparently!

I don't know what drinks they were serving in that club.....something that makes you blind, deaf and insane I presume.

Ewwwww, what ever they put in their drinks over there i deffinately dont want any

Yes, one of my mates saw him in a club in burnley and said the women were flocking round him..........nowt like being a minor celeb eh?

The most annoying thing about BOGOF is that guy who advertises double glazing on television.

'You buy one, you get one free.'

I read in the paper that he's been employed at Accrington Stanley to gee the crowds up, after doing the same at Burnley.

bogof : Safestyle UK

Thanx ... now I don't have to ask what bogof is ... I thought it had something to do with bogs:confused:

(God that chap winds me up, I know thats probably not what he's really like but still irritates me)

Didn't know butter was freezable G-C ? Does it not 'split' or anything then ?
Suppose you couldn't put in the microwave to de-frost though .. :D

Used properly BOGOF and other offers can be beneficial to a person’s budget but only if the item/s offered are what you would have bought without the offer anyway. It’s no good buying a BOGOF just because it is there.

But look at the periodic discount offers from a different angle. BOGOF and other offers are just an attempt to disguise the extortionate prices charged. If merchants can sell discounted items and still make a profit what sort of a profit are they making without the discount?

I would much prefer that there were no BOGOF’s, 50% extra for free, 10% off etc and all overall prices were reduced.

I just take it out and let it thaw out natural,,,it dosent take long,,,and its perfect,,I think if you microwaved it, it might go rancid....

AH BUT THEN YOU WOULDENT GET THAT SATISFACTION OF KNOWING YOU HAD BAGGED A BARGAIN......:alright:

I do buy BOGOF's, but like Jambutty said earlier, only on things I'd be buying regularly anyway.

A lot of people are so easily taken in when it comes to special offers. People buy things just because they are 'on sale', without looking at the actual cost to themselves, and if whatever they are buying is therefore good value.

Not much of a bargain if two or three times a year you get the product cheaper and spend the rest of the year paying through the nose.

Good point, but unfortunately that is the way that it is done so you've got to bag a "bargain" whenever you can do
