Does anyone know if there are any organised displays or bonfires arranged in the area this weekend? I know there's the usual at the Plough in Ossy, but it's always packed out and can never get to the bar!

Accrington Cricket club, Sat nite lighting it at 7 i think. BBQ and bar :)
Adults £1. Thorneyholme Rd.

We went to Witton last year, it was a real wash out because of the rain, they couldn't get the fire started!! :(

what a set of numpties ,anyone knows anything will burn with the correct amount of petrol

It was a real shame, because the bonfire was huge and there was a lot of disappointed kiddies, mine included :(

Its put me off going again this year, not just for that but we spent a huge amount of money on the fair and everything else, just isn't worth it. The fireworks were nice though

I absolutely love bonfire night and cant wait !!! Even bought myself a new pair of pink wellies from Show Zone lol. Thanks Nell for the info, you saved me a phone call.

There's one at The Whittakers Arms, Burnley Road tonight and at Hyndburn Bridge, Clayton tomorrow night. Won't be going out at all this weekend though, it'll take me all me time to keep the dog calm, poor thing he's terrified.

Poor thing - I feel sorry for all the little animals. My guinea pig Suzzie hates it, she just sits with my dad though and he calms her down. Its been on the news about animals having tranqualisers to help calm them.

Yea, I've been to the vets and he's been put on some tablets to calm him, they do help a bit in that he's still scared - he's just not sure why :) Ah well, the tele will just have to be on a full volume this weekend to try and drown them out :)

I dont think my fish will bother they are used to noise pmsl!!!!!

Does the Dunkenhalgh still do bommy displays?? my dad used to take me when i was little, remember getting black peas yum specially when its cold, do they still do them now?

Wanna take the kids to one but they are a bit too far out for me tho:(

Come with us if you want Accymel. We are going to go Cricket Club about 8ish. Get a taxi if you dont drive. Harwood Red is coming, she is driving. Let me know.

The cricket club one is teh one that used to be at the dunk. yes, black peas are still available (They sell them in tescos if anyone wants some for home)

I might have a look to a sensible organised one on Sunday if I can find one but tomorrow we are at my mums for one. Potatoe pie, pea and ham, pastry crusts, beer ......... and every year up to now something very giddy has happened. :D
