Burnley friendly

Its absolutely heart warming that burnley once again is supporting us thro our hour of need! - whats blackburn ever done for us ? ****** all, as per and yet they have more money than burnley. Nice to suggest that our neighbouring footy clubs do nothing and let us go to the wall, there would be no there's only one accy!?!
 
It was Burnley that ''Supported'' Accy back in 62 was it not??-and look what happened then...... Perhaps this is a real act of friendship. Good on them.
 
I’ve had a special Axe that I’ve grinded over the years over 1962 and Mr. Lord’s role in our demise; Today, Burnley Football Club has extended the hand of support and friendship. Each and every one of us should accept it with good grace and gratitude; their effort great or small might just make the difference in 2009.
 
Well i would rather have Accy over Rovers anyday,,,weve sent a donation, ,I hope they reach their target ,Come on Accy..oh i mean come on Burnley...no i mean let it be a draw...2..2
 
John Timmins has arranged 10 coaches for this one at £2 a go. No doubt he'll be on later to confirm the details. get the blagging underway
 
Should boost the crowd a little with debuts for Nugget & Gorrilla.:D

Rovers the club and defo there plastic fans are to far up the own backsides to care whats going on around them!

Me too I've hated that club with a passion since I was a boy those claret & blue V shirts :mad:. My Father always used to tell me Bob Lord shafted us but at least this time its a genuine offer ;)
 
yer dad probably was a mate of mine shurm, wynonie will tell ya my feelings, but in all fairness this is a marvelous gesture n all credit to em.
 
You can,t wipe the Bob Lord slate clean for those of us that were there BUT it was Bob Lord not Burnley although at the time he thought he was Burnley!! A nice gesture though from the Burnley management.

Someone said to me a few years ago that Lord was dead and gone and only a fool would hold a grudge this long, but some stains are indelible …I guess we’re all fools at some time in our lives and I’m sure that one day those effected by 62 will fade away like all the Stanley Rearguard have before then and only then will people forget…..but the Spirit lives on and only Spirit will forgive

We; like Burnley F.C. live in a different era. Thank you again Burnley F.C. Never will the word Dingle pass my lips……..honest.
