I am biting my knucles and biting my tongue and kicking hell out of the cat for saying this.
Well done Burnley. :)

Watched Preston on Friday too and they'll both have to play a hell of a sight better if they're going to get to Wembley never mind the Prem

Not a great game, poor performance by both sides. Too much tension :(

1-0 up at half time and the second hal being played away, I'll remain pessimistic at this stage :)

HOWEVER, the highlight of the game has to be the Droghba wannabee. Thanks Andre Bikey for the best performance I've seen in a long time :D

We they've been singing that for the last 30 odd years and the only reason they ain't played Blackburn Rovers no never no more is because they ain't been good enough :D:rolleyes:
they will probably be playing rovers next season n still aren't.:rofl38::rofl38::rofl38:

congrats they did it ... barry kilby has said if you've had a season ticket for the last two years and bought your season ticket for next season ... you get your season ticket for free ... and theyre playing next season in a replica shirt from 50 years ago .. wonder how many people will be in work tomorrow .... with hangovers that is if they make work ...

Hearty congratulations to Burnley for gaining entry into the Premier Division. I would just like to thank Burnley FC for the donation of 6 points to the Manchester United cause next season.

However you have to feel for Sheffield United. They played 46 games to finish in third place and it was all for nothing. Sheffield U won 22 games, drew 14 and lost 10 with a decent goal difference of 25 and gained 80 points.

Burnley, on the other hand also played 46 games to finish in 5th place but only won 21 games, drew 13 and lost 12 with a poor goal difference of 12 but only gained 76 points.

These play offs are nothing more than a lottery and in this case a smack in the footballing face of Sheffield United.

But if the Football League are going to have play offs, and I cannot see it changing its mind on this issue, it should also afford the teams at the bottom of the table the same lottery.

Down at the bottom of the table the third bottom team does not get a second chance to avoid the drop, yet like the 3rd placed team it also played 46 games.

To be fair the Football League should introduce play offs for the bottom of the table. The bottom two go down and the third bottom and the three teams above them join in a money spinning charade of play offs. The winning team of each match drops out and is safe, whilst the eventual loser gets relegated.

Pity they won't be able to put the players in those shirts from 50 years ago:D
