Tomorrow it will be a week since I went out.
We should have gone out today to get milk.
But himself stayed in bed.....I was up about 7.30....thinking that we would be out and about by 8.30.
There was no movement from the upstairs....and I did not disturb him.
I felt that he would be up and about any minute.....but no.
I set about cooking the cottage pie for our tea.....I thought the smell of frying beef and onions would raise him from his slumber....but no.
I went and got washed and dressed....but doing it quietly....I did not want him to think I was doing this stuff to disturb him...but I was really.
It got to 11 am. I started to worry that he might have died from the pie that was left in the fridge for a couple of days...you know, the one that he was worried might poison him. So I thought I had better check
I went upstairs to ask him if he wanted tea and toast in bed.
He blearily blinked and said 'I haven't got it'.....
'Got what?' Was my response....'that Canary virus'
I said....'I 'm glad to hear it...now shift yourself'
So the upshot is, we did not go out at all....and there is no milk for his hot chocolate tonight, or his weetabix tomorrow.
I am beginning to go stir crazy(as you no doubt gathered with my last episode)....I am getting prison pallor and my mood is a bit truculent.
I have seen no one to have a good natter with.
I am being sadly overdosed with Judge Judy and old black and white movies....I have not seen a news bulletin for....oh....it must be more than three weeks.
That said I am sure that it is still doom and gloom and all about the Canary virus.....it can go away now.....it has overstayed its welcome.
