Do you like them? - Candles.

I love them. I love the soft flickering flames and especially the nicely scented ones.

Do you have a favourite scent of candle? I'm partial to cinnamon at Christmas. There's something very Christmassy about the perfume from a cinnamon candle. A friend of mine loves the chocolatey ones and has had a choccy candle for years that she won't burn. It's just for sniffing at!

I love them especially on a dark winters night with the curtains shut the flames on the fire dancing and the candles flickering away with the lights dimmed. Its so relaxing and cosy.

I also love sented candles but don't have a favourite as there are so many lovely frangrances to choose from.

Love them. Don't care if they are scented or not. I like lots of votive candles in small glass containers. Talk about glow! Outdoors and indoors.

we have a lot of power cuts,so we use candles alot i love the lavender candles, but any candles are nice

I love them (as you know willow lol) i light candles every night-its my way of relaxing after looking after jc all day.

Can we have a power cut???.....candles reminds me of the th'owd days of powercuts:D

errrrr upon thinking about it ...means no pc...errr ok a light power cut lol:D

I love my candles and always have loads. The more pretty ones I never want to burn though.
I adore my scented candles. Lavender for relaxing is the best.

a nice bath bomb sounds very appealing at the mo.

Is that when you slide down the other end of the bath to the taps, with your arms wrapped round your legs and your head tucked in?

It does sound appealing but last time I did that I got a right telling off from mthead he said the water was coming in through the kitchen ceiling :(

If you live in Hyndburn homes property tell him its the massive holes in the ceilings-not your fault:eek:

Havent had a bath for 3 years!

The council took the bath out 5 years ago because mum couldnt get in it and replaced it with a shower.

By the way im sat here with the lights out, a cinnamon candle going on one end of the fire place and on the other last years xmas candle going with the smell of berries supposedly. I've still got the cold and cant smell them.

;) Supresses the urge to call you a mucky pup because I like to have a shower in the mornings but I do love a nice relaxing bath sometimes too.

OMG jen i once lived with shower only for about 5 yrs if i wanted a bath i had to go to my mums ..so when i moved and the house had a bath i was never out of it .....It was like pure luxury .

Sorry, but not candles biggest fan(just as well, they'd all be blown out!!!!).The missus is forever buying them, but never lights them!Decorative purposes only.Whats the point?More clutter to dust round.Candles should be kept in churches, and under the stairs in case of emergencies.Having said all that,i might have to re-think my no more candles policy if these bloody power bills go up anymore!!!!!:)

For me candles have just two uses. Emergency lighting and greasing a wood screw that is very hard to screw in although soap is just as good. There is one other use that I don’t put them to these days and that is to grease a slide.

Burning loads of candles in a closed room, scented or otherwise, is as a good a way as any to use up the oxygen that you need to breathe.

So could the relaxed feeling be down to slow CO2 poisoning?

Depends on how good the draft proofing is and the number of candles being used. If it was the relaxed feeling was down to carbon dioxide poisoning then they would also start to turn blue and thinking the water is not warm enough fill up the tub again. I blame celebs for this craze! Wonder how many house fires are started in the bathroom because the person in the tub fell asleep???
