The bath worked and eased the muscles spasms, so after doing my jobs l was ready for Lettie and Sparkologist to pick me up for our trip to the theatre, and felt fine.

They picked me up at the door and after a trip through Ramsbottom we ended up in Edgeworth, eating homemade icecream sat in the bus shelter. lt was so nice to have a run out, as my driving radii is limited to how far l can drive before having a shaking/ panicky do.

Next stop was Frankie and Johnnie's, were we enjoyed New York Italian fare, l'd never been before and thought it was really nice with scrummy scran. Lettie and Sparkologist are incredibly nice people, you can have a right laugh with them but also a serious chat as well, perfect company in fact.

The Octagon is somewhere l'd never been before, l loved it. Maybe it was because it was a Friday night, but there was a real buzz in the air. Great for people watching, and even a smoking area in the bar- bliss!

The play 'Two' was written by Jim Cartwright and was a two hander, starring Simeon Truby and Emma Atkins [Charity Dingle in Emmerdale.] The set was a big bar in a pub, and basically was about a warring couple, a bit like Den and Ange. The two actors played all the parts, from a simple middle aged Chav couple, to a sad old couple of pensioners. Most disturbing was a portrayl of an ex army bully and his brow beaten downcast wife. It reminded me of BBC 2's 'Early Doors.'

It was really well written and acted. One minute you were laughing, the next you wanted to cry at the pathos. The ending was moving, and sort of ended on a resolution, so nearly, almost a happy ending.

A last drink at The Stag, and an interesting conversation about medical ethics ended a perfect trip. l can't thank Lettie and Sparkologist enough, and they've kindly asked me to see another play/happening in July about Hippies and Free Love. That's two months to finish sewing beads on my kaftan, plenty of time.
