Only one star on show today, or at least he thinks he is and will do his best to make sure everybody notices

The Uriah Rennie Show............Whoopee cant wait!!

Is there any Radio coverage today or do we have to suffer Lancsdave's lot again?...............:hehetable

trouble with rennie, ya never know which ones gonna turn up,seen him have some great games, but the other times!:bingobang:uzi::uzi:

You're right there Cashy, on His day He is one of the best Ref's around, however on an off day...................well

Was looking at his stats in the accy observer this week:

Premiership official uriah rennie who has shown 35 yellow cards and 3 reds in his 12 games.

Wonder how many he is dolling out today!!!

And tuesdays ref isnt much better A Taylor who has given out 75 yellow cards and 6 red cards in his 24 games

This is from accy observer.

I remember many years ago that we played an away game at Bishop Auckland and the referee was a very young Mr Rennie.

If I remember correctly, he sent off 2 Bishop Auckland players and 1 of ours, and we ran out 6-2 winners in the end.

Anyone else remember that, or did I dream it? ;) Becky and Grimmy grabbed a couple each I think.

I remember him reffing us away at Boston and we lost 4-0. I think he sent John McNally (*wozzagod) off in that match. I wanted a word wi'im in the bar after the game, but when I saw the size of him and somebody pointed out his proficiency in the arts that are martial I forgave him!

was that the game where Lampkin broke his arm on the advertising boards?

I don't remember that happening in the game, but there again I couldn't remember the correct score, so I'm not the best eye witness ;)

Lampkin came to us after Colne Dynamoes folded in August 1990, so he may have been in the team. DDevil will let us know. :)

Just love this stuff, really feel as though I've missed out, and NO I'm not being sarcastic. I'm really hoping to capture this sort of thing for the History exhibition, the journey back to the League is full of wonderful tales.

[Most times, I think it's about the journey, and not the destination, to paraphrase Tom Waits,
and other Sunday afternoon philosophers. :o]

ok you twisted my arm TM

Pye, Wilson, Lampkin, McComb, Owen, Walsh, Carter, Galloway, Hughes, Beck, Bondswell, Subs Grimmy, Evans

Lampkin played the next game

I knew you'd come up with the goods. ;)

A few names there to conjure with. Mike Carter came with quite a reputation, if I remember correctly. He didn't stay long. ;)
