Christmas doesn't matter much.

I think it is asking a bit much to be all sorted for Christmas.......I feel sure it would be an impossible ask....well, unless it was being done by a TV company like 60 Minute Makeover.
Anyway I don't want it fast......I want it good.

If we had young children around the house I would postpone until the New Year......but really speaking this is a good time to get such work done as no-one really wants to have a dusty, draughty plaster covered house over the Christmas period. And these guys still need to work to put grub on the table and keep the wolf from the door.

Last Christmas was a washout so anything will be better than that......if you remember the convener for Domestic Goddesses gave me permission to withdraw all support for the day after himself cocked up the dining arrangements and ended up cooking his own food.
I don't do anything near the kind of Christmas that I used to knock myself out trying to do.
And I know for sure that himself will not be burning any brain oil to figure out what present to buy me......it will be the same as last year.....nowt......and unwrapped nowt at that. He doesn't even bother to put the nowt in a brown paper bag anymore.
I will be glad when the shenanigans that is Christmas is over the hill and I can see its dust receding into the distance.

I have made all the Christmas cards I am going to use......I have even got most of the Christmas gifts sorted......and some of them are even wrapped and tagged.
Don't ask me how I got all this done with what is currently going on in my life.......I think it must be down to the Duracell batteries.
So the week before the work starts I will finish off and deliver the stuff so that I can forget all about it......done and dusted!

Christmas aint mattered much to me,since the kids grew up, only plus side now is the fact i get to see me lad, he always comes up fer a few days.he was 42 yesterday, but still me kid.:D
