My mum was a contestant on Countdown about 15 years ago when Richard and Carol were presenting it. She won 2 games then lost the third. We all had a fabulous day at the studios.
It's surprised us when she went shopping in Accy after the programme was shown on telly and people she didn't know stopped her to congratulate her!
We hadn't expected that.
A little bit of fame for a week or so, LOL.
 
I have to say I don't watch it much these days but let us know the date your on and I'll make sure I'm tuned in for those 8 days Gayle:D:mosher:
 
Only seen it a couple times with the new team but thought they were very good, let us know when you are on and I'll set the video

Lol, I'm sure you won't embarrass yourself.

It was a super kid who beat my mum. He was only 10 and my god he was quick! I think he finished up runner up of the series!
 
It could be any time in the next six months before i get the filming dates. Then it's about three weeks before it's aired. So, could even be after Christmas!!!!
 
Ive got to admit I like Jeff ,hes doing a great job ,and Rachel is a lovely unassuming girl ,i hope she doesnt get as cocky as Carol
 
Question fer Gayle- Is the blonde contestant wearing a Syrup? Reason i'm askin,i can't imagine any woman growing a minging mop like that.:confused::D
 
Like ya said Gail you beat yourself, but you had a damn good go, an the other lass said she was lucky to win so keep yer pecker up!!!!!
 
watched it all now, my take is she never beat ya, ya beat yerself wi first night nerves, i reckon if it had been her first night ya would have stuffed her, so well done, an ya know if i thought ya were crap, i would have told ya.;)

she as been a profeshional singer with the likes of guns and roses.for 20 odd years,,,.A BIT ODD
