Have to agree that it the most annoying tune ever. Once you hear it you can't get it out of your head for the rest of the day. It definitely ranks amongst the most annoying music ever, joining such classics as Star Trekkin, The Birdie Song and Mr Blobby.:D

The tune is from a film Beverley hills cop (eddie murphy) a.k.a axel folly
i think
mell3ft loves it she has it on her phone hehe

 You bought it because you love it more like!! Don't blame it on the kids or I'll tell everyone how you argue with them when you want to play it in the car but they want to play it in their bedroom :tongue8: .

that bloody frog needs shooting. i have an eight month old boy who gets whiplash whenever it comes on the telly, also nessie the dragon and lets not forget that yellow chick sweetie.try feeding a boy a bottle when the frog graces his presence,NOT GOOD.
un happy dad:( :s_fmad:

I can see why so many people find it annoying, but I have to admit I quite like it. Then again, I have a fetish for cheesy pop music so I should probably be shot at dawn!:D :o

I hate it, the advert is on at every break and now that irritates me too, as for Agadoo Cashman thats class, my 2 year old loves it and I'm sure I'll be dancing with her at the mini disco on holiday this year!

Phones should ring like they always did never mind all this music etc you hear a phone go off and it sounds like an invitation to dance

my 18 month son has nearly worn out the dvd i made of it for him

if i need to get something done i simply press play on teh dvd player and thats him transfixed for as long as i choose to leave him sat there lol

crazy frog makes a good babysitter i could go shopping and the little fella wouldnt notice that i had gone lol

It's horrendous. I'm sick to death of it, not only is it on t.v & phones but my 7 year old insists on 'singing' it! as he knows it winds me up. Bring back shaddupa your face(joe dolchie) I never thought i'd hear myself say that

She'll dance to anything Grego. She was dancing to the tune on my mobile in Oakhill Park on Saturday.:D

Crazy Frog leaps to chart success

The Crazy Frog ringtone went straight to number one in the charts yesterday, dashing Coldplay's hopes of securing the top spot.

The new version of Axel F - the theme to the Beverly Hills Cop films - becomes the first mobile ringtone to make it as a chart single.

The novel tune, mixed by German band Bass Bumpers, outsold Coldplay's new release, Speed of Sound, to knock the Oasis hit Lyla off the top spot.

The latest offering from the Manchester band fell five places to number six.

Coldplay, came in as runners up behind Crazy Frog, securing the second chart spot, while hip-hop act Akon fell one place to number three.

Experts believe a massive marketing campaign over recent months may be the reason behind Crazy Frog's success.

HMV spokesman Gennaro Castaldo said the popularity of the famously annoying tune was down to "its huge novelty appeal and the massive amount of exposure it is getting".

"Kids obviously find it cute and cool but students and office workers seem to be drawn to its rather kitsch, ironic appeal," he added.

Meanwhile, academics at the University of Birmingham believe the success of the single could be related to a growing trend for teenagers to spend more money on mobile phones and computers than music.

My 2 year old daughter loves it as well - if the sound is down on the telly and she is in the other room, you can hear a squeal of delight and a sudden appearance, as she rushes in to watch.

We had to buy the cd, and both the children watch the video again and again!

I might just have to get out the 7" vinyl of the original some time!

one o the lads is putting together a tune called "the avenging toad" in which this little green ****** meets his maker! anyone want next swing of the axe?

Not that we need the evidence but this ‘frog’ tune shows just how gullible and susceptible to skilled marketing the public is.

As far as pop tunes are concerned it has been that way ever since the Beatles got to number one BEFORE the record was actually released or was that escaped.

Annoying? No not really it is too catchy for that but then I only hear it in the TV ads and I have total control of the remote and rarely if ever actually see an ad. But I can understand how hearing the ‘frog’ for the umpteenth time and from all quarters it could drive a person to ………. Well you put your own destination in here.

With a bit of luck we might be able to get it to Kermit suicide.
