CRICKET............................READ SLOWLY...
.......................................
You have two sides ,one out in the field and one in....
Each man thats in the side thats in, goes out and when he's out, he comes in and the next man goes in' until he's out ...

When they are all out,the side thats out comes in and the side thats been in goes out
and tries to get those coming in out..
When both sides have been in and out ,including the not outs...
THATS THE END OF THE GAME.....
HOWZAT..

WRITTEN ON A TEA TOWEL BELONGING TO GRANNYCLARET..

That very an appropriate description Granny, although you should be in washing up and not reading out……………….sorry. Nice one Granny C.

Granny gave a tea towel with that explanation to our next door neighbours who came from Canada, and they knew even less after reading it!!!!!

The most stupis thing is that after five days of playing they call it a draw!!! HOW??? surley they could have something like a penatly shoot out with one bowl and bat each best out of five or sudden death

its a great game for chilling out on a summer afternoon, i used to use it to to get boiled in the days when the pubs shut at 2-00 lol

sat in the bath 10 mins ago relaxin listening to 97.4 rock fm and the sport came on they began talkin about cricket and somehow got round to the rules and low and behold what do i hear ???

grannyclarets tea towel....lol.....or the words that are wrote on it anyhow ......just wondering if they have seen it on here ?? hmmmmmm:idunno:

Rumour has it the England team has made it more popular. 5 day matches nope gimme 20/20 its more fun to watch. I like cricket but the fact that England are on top in a match and still only manage a draw makes me think people are not seeing the light. :D :D :D :D :D :D

I used to have a similar Tea towel.......and another with the silly rules of golf on.......sadly now both worn out. No dishwasher at our house.

I'm not a fan of any kind of sport, but the last two test matches have been gripping. Hmmm! must get out more.

as we have been pretty crap for a good few years spuggie, the fact that we dominated the no1 rated nation in world cricket, and yes the weather helped them save the match, makes me think you are too far up north to see any light. :engsmil:

Not that far north C-man still get daylight especially in summer it is only dark for about 4 hours so maybe cricket could come up here more light more play. :p :D :p :D :p :D

have they got a tea towel with the off side rule vorlon it would have to the size of a beach towel LOL

Must say having watched the closing part the other day shame Flintoff didnt get the last wicket.

Yes there is in the rules a BOWL-to-single-stump rule to tie-break games but think it only used in one day cup games where there has to be a winner
