Date help

Gang I am looking for suggestions for a great place for a meal for someone special a week on Saturday. Any kind of food with access to a decent pint please please please help. :engsmil:
 
I aint been in Hapton for a while, before all the new housing started sprutting up everywere. Is it possible to get the address please?
 
Old Mother Redcap.....Good food but no smoking. and then finish off with a pint or two in the Stag of course. Decent beer but crap barstaff. lol:D

This is a good idea i can recommend both AND the bar staff are good

Head straight for the stag, talk nicely to paul and while your drinking his beer, he'll organise a pizza for you from a local take-away!

Of course the problem of going to the Stag is that Paul then knows your not on-line which could mean your ackers are vulnerable to attack!

Auberge is lovely for a 'special' meal. Horncliffe Mansion was also very nice when I last went.

How far are you willing to travel? I guess you will be having a pint or three so are probably looking at taxi distance?

How about La Veranda in haslingden? They sometimes have entertainment on as well. Monte Cristo is decent as well. We seem to be well populated with Italians, It would be nice to get a bit more variety.

Think it's called Zbar, it is at the bottom of Warner Street. They do a fantastic tapas menu. Can't vouch for the ale though as i usually drink wine.
 
Auberge is lovely for a quiet meal for 2, then taxi back to the pub of your choice.

If you like indian food then Mitali on warner st used to be good but havnt been for a while
