I have had a busy day so far today. It is my day off, and what with shopping, cleaning, washing, getting odd jobs done, going to the bank and walking the dog, I really wonder how I find time to go to work.
Spoke to Sparks last night who has arrived safely in Reims. There's good news and bad news though. The good news is that the hotel where he is staying has facilities for him to connect to the internet. The bad news is that he has forgotten his laptop and has left it at home.......
The dozy beggar!!!!!!!! Luckily, his friend Dave is going to Reims on friday, so he is going to ask Dave to call at his house and pick up the laptop, so hopefully he should be back online next week.
Been to see my mum this morning and I have to say that she looks really well. She's put a bit of weight on, which was much needed, as she had started to look gaunt. We are going to see the people at welfare rights next week, I have offered to go with her. Hopefully they should be able to help her sort out her money situation, as she's only getting £57 per week, which I think is paltry considering she's worked all of her life. I'm glad she's looking well though. It's amazing how people always start to look like a million dollars when they no longer have to work.
Anyway, I'm now going to go and replace some grout in the bathroom that has come a bit loose........The joys of a day off eh!!!
