Just had some work done and now have loads of decorating to do.
What's the correct way, glossing first then immulsion or immulsion first then gloss.

I hate decorating, especially glossing.
And now I have 6 doors, casings and all the skirting to do.

that reminds me of a friend who put a border paper round the room 'by the rack of the eye' starting at one side of the fireplace but by the time it got back round to the other side of the fireplace it was about a foot higher!Or spray paint the gloss........
always been told that 3 coats of undercoat to 1 of gloss is best for the very shinny finish to the top coat......
but that is using the old type of gloss (really runny when painting with it) not the non-drip type.....
or if you have stripped back to bare wood then
primmer, sandpaper down, wipe with thinners,
undercoat, sandpaper down, sugar soap,
undercoat, sandpaper down, sugar soap
undercoat, sandpaper down, sugar soap
then LIQUID gloss to finish.
never done that!
