I've had a great weekend so far.
I can't be bothered to finish my blog about Liverpool in the dark 80's, so l shall hopefully finish that little episode tomorrow.
Went to my acupuncturist's party before l went to the meet at The Stag. It seemed a bit unfair that I had two things on the same day.
She had a lot of family up from Pompei. I met some really great people, and was loathed to leave in away, but wouldn't have missed an Accy Web meeting for anything.
At the party, her brother's seventeen year old son 'came out' to his Granny and the rest of his family. His Dad is ex Navy but seemed cool with it, and we had an interesting conversation about when I told my parents at the same age, which I hoped helped him to see the lad is still the same son he knew before this revelation. The lad seemed together, and with the support of his family, who seemed great, I'm sure he'll get through. I'd been talking to him in the garden about what he was going to do at University [Law,] and l had no inkling, so it just goes to show never judge a book........
The meet at The Stag was fun. It did seem a little more subdued than it sometimes is, or perhaps that was just me.
This bunch of people, brought together by this site, are a fantastic bunch. We are so different, but it works. I always come away though feeling I didn't get to talk to everyone as much as l'd liked to have though.
[Makes a note to get of my perch more next time and mingle.]
Work that room Rindy.
Off to get ready for the next party this afternoon.
