There is a long waiting list for NHS dentists here - I have been waiting over a year now.
The better private dentists have 'full lists'

There is a dentist just near Morrisons in Blackburn who are taking NHS patients. Will try and find the number and post it for you later.
Thanks.. That's my actually mums dentist but with moving to Accy thought there could be one nearer.
Doubt you will find one nearer but you can try. My daughter has been using that one for last few years.
I used to have an NHS dentist but they went private, I'd been with the same practice for over 25 years. I have had to carry on as there are no places for NHS dentists as Margaret has said, but I'm not happy, its cost me well over a grand for my dental care since they went private, but at least they are very good and give a first class service. I'm with The Antly Dental Practice on Blackburn Road

It is round the back on Church Street side. Would have thought they should contact people on the waiting list if they have vacancies.

That is the dental emergency crew who have moved from Accy Vic. They do have regular patients - Margaret P is one.
When I had my last emergency extraction with them I asked to go on their patient list and was told that I have to join the queue by applying via NHS Direct.

think its totally wrong to rip people off in those circs.
