Although he is right; the club's inability to stop the rain in Lancashire is quite disgraceful.

Or they could build a retractable roof or relocate to the Sahara desert or issue free sponges to all the fans on entry or have a steep incline on the pitch so the water runs off.

Unfortunately all the money which was allocated to purchase pitch covers has now been diverted to a fund to install a Wimbledon centre court style roof

In possible todo im afraid the water table is at saturation point after the rain we've had over the last few days and with todays deluge the ground could not take anymore,with or without covers on.. the pitch has got a good drainage system but not for monsoon weather
