But I did find a store in the Kensington area of TO that sells suet and other "ethnic" English foods like Melton Mowbray pork pies ... so I can stock up on "stuff" .... thanks for the help guys, all joking apart, I really do appreciate the help. And if anyone needs help with recipes that include seal flippers, I will return the favor ... oops sorry, favour
I like my Dumplings in with mince and onions I just go off the instructions on the packet of Atora…4oz flour to 2oz suet, add seasoning, enough water to make a decent dough and chuck what I made in the pan of mince for 20min.
Are there no instructions on the packet Eric
You married a star Buttonsmum ...
Back to the dumplings .. Eric has already stated (in another thread) .. no self-raising flour available in Canada (?) ... peasants ! so he had sussed it with plain and Baking Powder ... 1 teaspoon to 4 oz of plain. Ok ... all info., given by Buttonsmum correct, only advice I can give is that, of course, they do swell, so you need to gage it to finish up with Golf Balls rather than Footballs.
Sure ya' can get it Eric .. just ask around.
