double dip

Yes we probably will, with a liability of up to £4.4 billion, under the terms of the bail out agreement signed up to by Alistair Darling while the last lot of incompetents were in power.
And I think he signed up to that just days before they left office Wyn

ha ha makes me laugh these countries always had weak economies and maggie thatcher signed the treaty:rolleyes: Maastricht Treaty - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia which states member states can have 60% debt..

Which, in this case you seem to have forgotten has been superseded by the "treaty of Lisbon". According to a certain Mr McBroon the changes & alterations were so negligible that a referendum on its acceptance was seen as unnecessary despite being promised otherwise ! You really don't give up do you ?

Just to refresh your memory (from one of your favourite oracles by the way) not only did he sign the UK up to all the updated EU lunacy, he went skulking in there late to boot.

BBC NEWS | UK | UK Politics | Brown belatedly signs EU treaty

Cmon, I think you will find that Maggie was not too keen on joining Europe, it was her successor John Major who signed the Maastricht treaty. In fact she negotiated a rebate on the money we give towards the EU budget.
Still never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Are you telling me that your beloved Labour Party wouldn't have signed the treaty? And that doesn't excuse the fact that Darling signed us up to this ludicrous commitment to bale out other countries in a doomed attempt to protect the Euro. Who'll be the next country asking for a bail out?...Spain?

ha ha maggie thatcher set the ball rolling tony blair son of thatcher signed pre agreements Brown flies to Lisbon for belated EU treaty signing | UK news | guardian.co.uk so now the tories are in power are they going to have a referendum on europe or was it more hot air from hague.i found it more embarassing william hague saying gaddafi had left libya .also gordon brown kept us out of the euro.

Don't try and make out there's some sort of difference between the major parties on this issue, because it won't wash. When it comes to Europe, both the Labour and Tory lot are the same. They're both pro-EU, despite the cost to the British taxpayer and the loss of our sovereignty. Any promises on a referendum are just empty words because they know the British public can't be relied on to give the "correct" answer.

black wednesday here we go a double dip recession is on its way at least ten billion took out the economy, high inflation, no growth plan or will the gamble work .i dont think so:rolleyes:

How exactly is money being taken out of the economy?

countries need money in their economy, with all the cuts and its going to mean less tax revenue more paid out in benefits = a black hole less money in the economy vat rises are not the answer as that means less money in the economy..

Pots & kettles, who exactly are the Americans to deride & criticize our situation ! They need to look to their own doorstep first before casting about with their "opinions".

Incidentally C'mon, you rail about the state of benefits & the NHS in UK & what the present incumbents in nr.10 are doing, at least the UK has cover. Check out the American model since you're so hot for their input, then come back to us & knock what the UK offers. ;)

and the missus says i can start an argument in a empty room:D

Well it usually is an empty room where your concerned nobody listens to a left wing bigot spouting rubbish, even your confederate says little these days
Well you seem to be listening.. you reply to any posts that questions this governments actions with the usual "left wing bigot" blah blah.
You back this useless mob of chancers up to the hilt..maybe it's yourself nobody listens to ..being a self procliamed tory activist and all:)

Mmm,. heard on the news this morning that the policed force has achieved the 30 Million budget cuts by improving efficiency, so does this not mean that they've wasted 300 million over the last 10 years by not being challanged as to their cost?

Sometimes you need a kick up the backside to make you realise that you are wasting lots of money/resources.

Two sides to every coin and all that

means less police on the beat;)

There is no money left!

Even Labour accept that cuts have to be made and proposed cutting police funding by 12%. The police spending reductions under the Coalition are about 0.5% more per year than under Labour.

This notion that you can magic away the deficit and debt by cutting international aid is ludicrous. I'm not exactly a fan of how international aid money has been spent but compared to the UK's debt it's tiny.
