but we didnt drink openly underaged on street corners then proceed to smash teh bottles over the streets or through windows

we had teh decency to hide up teh coppice or the park and hope to god we didnt get caught as unlike today there woudl be trouble waiting in the form of a good hiding waiting for us when our parents got us alone

Are you a Methodist?:hidewall::hidewall:

We bought cider from the local newsagent and he knew we were underage. He used to warn us though, if he saw any of us drinking on the street or staggering about he would personally go and tell our parents. As for smashing bottles in the street, we wouldn't dare do that, not because of what the police would do but because the people around us would tell our parents and then we would really suffer. These days people are frightened to get involved as many parents have lost the art of discipline. That is not a ritual beating but the skilled removal of something we enjoyed (no not teeth!).

nope although we shouldnt have been drinking we didnt see standing outside some poor sods house in gangs with beer an option

mainly because if the police didnt nab you then somone would report to your parents what you were doing and a good hiding would have been gotten

mind you we now have no police patroling as such and few parents actually give a damn what their kids do as long as they are out of the way and not bothering them

sadly slalom D wasnt a refundable bottle so it went in the bin
