Dying unloved.

My other half tells me that I am a hard woman…..so tell me why, when I read of the death of 6year old Arthur Labinjo-Hughes did I find large tears trickling down my cheeks.

I have posted that link so that those of you who have not read this story can see what an evil man and his partner did to a little boy.
These were the people this boy looked to for love, comfort, food and protection……and they did not just let him down….they pushed him down.
How can a father be so cruel and heartless.

What must that child have endured in the months before his death?
Hunger. Thirst(they poisoned him with salt…..so he will have had an unimaginable thirst) fear…..he was, according to the statements in court, made to stand in one place for up to 14 hours without moving, was threatened by his father with dire punishment if he moved a muscle.
He must have felt very abandoned and alone….with no one to turn to that would help him
According to reports his step mother filmed him dying and waited 12 minutes before calling an ambulance for attention to his severe head injuries.

Both of these people have pleaded not guilty to the charges….and the trial continues.

It upsets me to think that this child died believing he was unloved.

Margaret, I have just read the article and it is beyond belief that there are such diabolical monsters living in society. How was it that this little boy could be treated in that way without anyone noticing or caring? Where were the social services - surely someone noticed something. There is no punishment harsh enough for these two cruel apologies for human beings - they should be put in a room with some hardened criminals and left there, their cries for 'help me' ignored. Then they would have a taste of their own medicine - hopefully in triple doses. The only good thing now, if that is the right word to use, is that the little boy's sufferings are over and he is now at peace. The poor wee child.

Dorothy I spent a long time on Friday reading the live feed from the court in Coventry,
This little boy had only lived in the home where he dies for seven months.
It might have been picked up at school…except that recently school attendance has been sporadic.

This child only came to be in the care of his father because his natural mother was jailed for murdering her abusive partner.

Emma Tustin and Tom Hughes did what abusers do to torture…..they isolated this little boy from those who could have saved him.
