I have heard that some 'low level' waste was put down an old mineshaft in Ossy. I don't know where, or whether it's true (I doubt you would be told about it if you asked)I didn't know there was radioactive waste stored in Lancashire, I thought Cumbria was the nearest. Is it just hospital waste or something more lively?

Son has been working away near Parma this week preparing some show cows for the European Dairy Show in Verona next week. Says he was terrified -all the cows suddenly went berserk and they heard an almighty booming noise and everything was shaking. He was just a few Km from the Epicenter.
Apparently the Italian Stock Exchange was evacuated in Milan and many other buildings in towns across N.Italy. No serious damage or injuries but they are warning we may have more in the coming weeks as the Adriatic plate is on the move!
