I toyed with them, but Daventry Town are in Southern League Div One Central - a whole division lower. They did win 6-1 away today, but that was at Hartley Wintney .......... Who? (it's a village in Hampshire, apparently - Combined Counties League (Premier Division))

Think we'll go for them. At our place. Take the money and the place in Round 2

They have had a major injury list this season and have started poorly.
Could be a good tine to play them. Will Ian Goodison still be suspended?

For me, the cup this year should just be about how much can we earn in gate receipts and prize money, I'm not bothered about how far we go as long as we have one big payday on the way. Tranmere at home isn't exactly like winning the lottery, but they are struggling, we are at home, they might bring 800-1000 and we *might* get a bigger payday in the next round. I would take an embarrassing 10-0 thrashing at Old Trafford in the 3rd round because it would leave us financially secure for the season. So much for the romance of the FA Cup

The only competition that matters for the competition sake is the league.
