Tommy McQueen...his son, Gordon, was a famous Man U and Leeds player in the 70's. Quite suprised to find that you once had a passing interest in football, Kate (even if it was just for the fellas!). ;)

No, afraid not, SM, you might try via his present employers. Sky Sports. Incidentally, I was at school with Jim Harrower whose dad, Jim Harrower senior, was one of the most famous Stanley players and managers of the 50s/60s. Not seen him since school but I know he's the MD of Sealy Beds so you could try to contact him there to see if wants to talk about his memories of his late dad. Welcome to Sealy United Kingdom - home of the world's favorite bed

Sorry for thread wander, folks.

Instead of starting a new thread i thought i`d drag this one back up again as yesterday morning i ran into none other than Michael Owen and the rest of the Newcastle thread at the Marriot Hotel in Garstang...........before they got hammered by Blackburn obviously.....:DThey were saying that Big Sam will be good for Blackburn...and so far they seem to be right

He might have been good for them if he'd been given a chance, but their lose is our gain:D

Really winds me up does that. Don'tt care who people are or for what reason people park in a disabled spot, they shouldn't unless they have a badge. Once went out from work and couldn't get a disabled spot because some idiots had parked in the places with out displaying a badge, so we parked our car across theirs blocking them in. Went a sat on a bench nearby whilst another collegue went to find a traffic warden. She found a traffic warden who promptly ticketed a couple of cars. Got asked afterwards did i feel guilty the answer was NO. I would do it again.

He quite possibly could have been giving items to oxfam and that could be the reason for him parking on the disabled space infront of this shop for a few minutes.
I know lots of people with disabled badges who are not disabled enough to warrant a badge, a lot of them exaggerate their disability to get better benefits and a perk of this is a disability badge.I only have sympathy for the elderly and genuine disabled who are the minority badge holders.
I would think twice before acting like a idiot and parking your car across another and blocking it in.You might get your own car damaged or your tyres puntured doing a trick like that, unless that badge of yours is more privileged and allows you to take the law into your own hands.:spank::hititbana:Banane31:
