And I believe they would have.
But factually, you couldnt prove they would have as much as you couldnt prove they wouldnt have.

Your grasping at straws
no but they didn't need to like you wanted and it looks like you've got the straws between your teeth;)

Oh i aint grasping at straws, davo nor do i weasel out of stuff when i'm wrong, This new "LIKE" button is a wonderful new thing, everyone can look back n see who agreed wi yeh, n also notice they have had the good sense,to keep there heads below the parapet.:D Still yeh can say whatever yeh wish, cos its so easy fer folks to look back n make there own minds up.

Yonmon, now things have panned out ok ,do you think I can resume my normal seating arrangements on Saturday?,I started to get paranoid :)

This 'owd reprobate wi't gammy leg !'...( 'HE' only referred to me thus because he doesn't know the meaning of preroration !)..
will be so pleased to share in all that will be good about the game against Oxford United....and look forward to hearing once more your comprehensive half-time summary of the play !...

p.s....and it's not 'gammy' any more...HIP Hooray !

To clarify for the final time, I did not say the players where not behind Leam per se.

If I said something different then please point it out.

I know I said "over and out" but I cannot let you get away with your attempts to change history. For the record, this is what you wrote on 17 February:
I would suggest his bigger immediate problem may be the dressing room who no longer rate him.
And then two days later:
I suggest you speak to the players, they have made up their own minds.

The real credit has to go to the board who after a dreadful run of results, decided to back Leam when others may have decided to change the manager.

Is this the same board that you accused of lacking courage?

1. I later clarified and said a few players.
As your so good at searching the forum, can you pull that up for me or would it cause a problem?
Any employee would question their boss if the resullts/performances where constantly failing. Because one of the players has told you differently
(would you expect them to say anything else to a fan?) I must be wrong.
I know what I heard, I dont need to say any more on it, I reported a fact.

2. Yes, its the same board.
Happy to be wrong.

Facts?

4 pages, wow your bitter.

I have to admire your ability to see the world as you wish it to be, DAV007; the way you simply refuse to accept that you were wrong, I can only assume that you are or should be a politician.
Many of the things you state as fact were, in fact, merely your opinion or the opinion of one or two disgruntled players in the squad. Neither are facts; the latter is merely hearsay.
But I'm happy to leave the one FACT from Saturday's great performance and result as judgement that your opinion on Leam Richardson was simply wrong.
Thank heavens, for that.

Davo, why don't you quit wriggling and squirming in a vain attempt to justify yourself and accept with good grace that you were wrong? After all, the fatwa that was in force on you on the Clayton End has now been officially lifted! ;)

Ya but do all the Jihadists realise that Wyn:rolleyes::D

Stanley weren't doing well, DAVO and many others panicked and called for Leam's head. The club stuck with Leam.
The club were proved right, DAVO and some others apologised.

Stanley are safe, that's enough for me, let things lie.

FACT

More than happy to let things lie, slong as Davo gives our manager a fair shake.;) Which is what he n others Didn't.!!
