Greetings
One of the programme features for the new season concerns former players who have served the club with distinction or become fans favourites, profiling them and ideally speaking to them and catching up with them.

What I want from the good people of Accyweb is suggestions - both for who you'd like to see featured and any locations or contacts for people that you know used to play for the club.

As ever you can post on here or drop me an email - [email protected]

I look forward to what you come up with!

Les cocker is no longer with us, his son was instrumental in the exhibition tho. Tommy Henderson is still about in town.

It would add to the quality of the programme if readers learned about the names, careers and 'after life' of ex-players. Les Cocker and John Ryden are names that today's supporters should be aware of - and proud of. No different to Matthews and Morty being referred to in the Seasiders' programmes.

Much detail on past players can be found in 'Accrington Stanley; a complete record' by Jackman & Dykes. I have sent an offer of a copy to Dan.

or in current revelations Gary Roberts!
maybe a return to the crown............doubt it somehow
