I was chatting to my sister Sam the other night. Sparky and I had gone round for a curry come niss-up and the conversation led to me recounting a freaky experience in my life.
A couple of years ago I visited a tarot card reader with my best mate Angie. I have always been skeptical about these kind of things, but Angie, her sister and her mum wanted to go, so I thought I'd go along for a laugh.
We went to a house on a fairly rough estate in Blackburn to see the card reader. The house was full of cats, there were at least a dozen of them and the whole place smelled of cat p1ss. The lady who read our cards was lovely, she had asked us to bring casette tapes with us, and she taped our readings.
When I went for my reading she told me that I would be travelling. That it would be a long journey and that I would have a brilliant time. I had just booked my flights for my first trip to New Zealand, so I was relieved to hear that I would have a good time. She told me that I was travelling alone (which I was). She then went on to say that I was never really alone........
By this time I was becoming intrigued. She went on to say that there is a man who is always with me. She described him as a young man who was very close to me in spirit. She gave a brief description and told me that this man had died before his time and I had never known him. She said that if he had lived we would have been very close.
Obviously I had no idea who she was going on about. I sat through the rest of the reading, went home with my tape and put it down to a night out with the girls.
Several days later my mum came for a brew. I was telling her that I had been to this tarot reader and that she had given me a tape of the reading. I played it to my mum..........
The expression on her face when it came to the part about the man was a picture. She said only 2 words......"My dad!"
I never knew my mum's dad as he died in his 30's when she was only 12. I have to say that the hairs on the back of my neck were stood on end. How very freaky.....
To make matters worse, I now have visions of all of my dead relatives watching me throughout the day. I hope I get a bit of privacy when I'm on the loo, in the shower or doing some other things for that matter.
