Gagging Orders

Margaret, I think that another one of my problems(if you can call it that) is I am not that interested on what is happening in someone elses' life.
That's my take on life too Margaret, I've enough things to bother about in my own life never mind anyone else's, can't understand why people are fascinated with What Katie did next or what Peter did next or what poor Jade went through or whether Kerry has lost weight or who's the new man in her life, I see these TV adds for these programs every day or Magazine articles, I couldn't care less ;)

....but when a rich man with a royal title supresses knowledge of his involvment in fraud case, we need to know. He might be the victim;), but we don't know unless we are told.

You might want to know, but I've better things to do, like now I'm going of line to watch Arsenal and Straight after the Stanley, now that is IMPORTANT:);) ps mind your spelling Margaret, your beginning to slip these days:D:D:D

When I say 'suppresses' it is using the present tense which still applies because the gagging order is still in place.
Your version 'suppressed' is not appropriate.

I missed an 'e' from 'involvement'.
I blame the physical disability of my hands, rather than the mental incapacity to spell.

Remind me again of your excuse.
A bad workman always blames his tools

Ya I always questioned my mum about how my brain was wired seeing I do suffer from dyslexia;)

Eric, the media make these people into millionaires,. Advertisers want them to sell their products.....and I know it is a daft concept, but the ordinary folk who buy these products are then like their heroes(or at least that is what the advertisers hope we would believe).....So when these 'heroes' get grubby and the press find out about it, they want to let those who elevated these celebs to their hero status to know about it........Aah,but that would cost the 'hero'his purse........So if you are rich, then you can buy yourself a bit of the privacy you so willingly gave up in the pursuit of money.

I agree. Not completely on the "willingly gave up" part; but I'm thinkin' about it.:D

But ... Sometimes I think that folks want their "heroes" to get grubby; makes them more human:rolleyes: Wasn't it Wilde who said something about: The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about? And the British press:eek:

In order to recognise my spelling mistake, you must have a 'chell specker' that shows them to you - WOW;)
Ya mean you've had to sleep on that Margaret to realise:rolleyes:, come on lass your slowing down, my spell checker is my bestest mate, didn't ya know:D
ps ya got your ch and your sp mixed up in your post;););)

I think they do willingly give up their privacy......they court the press, they dance attendance for the press.......oh Yes, except when they have a dirty secret they want to hide...then it there is a howl of 'Privacy'.

So, we can agree to disagree on the "willingness" thing.;) But, in one case I have been reading about in the Guardian, involving some chick called Imogen Thomas, the issue has nothing to do with willingly seeking publicity and notoriety, and a lot to do with blackmail. Blackmail, I believe, is still a crime in the UK.

Eric, there will always be ladies of dubious reputation who will do what they can to feather their nest(no pun intended).......and these stupid footballers/actors/celebs think with what is in their pants pocket...they should be able to spot them coming a mile off....with their cleavage showing and their puddings boiling over.......if they didn't get into the situation in the first place, then there would be no chance of them being held to ransom.

Yes, there still is a law against blackmail, but I think in this situation they deserve all they get.......I can find no sympathy in my heart for them......for their wives, perhaps, for their children certainly, but for these guys who can't keep it in their drawers.......Not a chance!

When your talking about footballers Margaret remember their brains are in their feet, but can be highered by about 2' 6" when needed for quick 2 minute bursts:D

Yerself, you must associate with some very strange women........I thought ferrets were those little hairy stoat like things........I have never seen a woman with furry boobs....you must let me know where you hang out and then I can come and have a look.
NO.........only joking :)

Don't run into many Greek and Portuguese women, eh:D You know, the one's with the braided armpits:eek::)

Eric, they might have braided armpits, but we are talking boobs here....not armpits......I have never seen a chap with eyes out like chapel hatpegs because he has seen the size of a womans armpits....ged away wi yer!
