Gales

Apparently we're supposed to be in for much the same over next few days - just hope it doesn't get worse specially not at nite time or i'll be pooing me pants again

Yeh saw it on news about Carlisle they got it v bad as did parts of Cumbria, lucky ole dear getting a firemans lift just shame about the circumstances. wonder what effect it'll have on insurance companies cos some dont pay out for flood or act of god.

had to set off to work at 6.30 this morning walking up through accy centre overheard that the wind had taken the new shutters off the outside market so they couldnt be shut all weekend also a shop up near the argos which recently opened had its shutter hanging out in the middle of the road .Luckily only had 4 hours work to do in it and it didnt seem as bad over baxenden

I haven't looked at my roof but it was only just repaired last Thursday following previous wind and rain damage so I dread to think what the insurance company will say if I put in another claim! All the damage is rather scary. I saw a fence going for a walk up the road this morning.

My young son thought it was funny seeing all the plastic bottles from the recycling bags blowing past our house, there must have been over 50 and must admit that even though it was a mess the way they turned a corner all together when the wind changed direction was funny to me.

I am ashamed to say that I slept like a log last night. I didn't get home from work until 9.30pm and was working again today from 7.30am til 9pm, so I needed the sleep. Driving to work at 6.50am I had to dodge 2 dancing wheelie bins, a fallen pub sign, fallen fencing, several tree branches and broken glass and a big metal fence that had fallen and was partially blocking the entrance to Queens Park. The M65 was horrendous, I was blowing all over the carriageway along with everybody else who was stupid enough to be driving at that time of the morning. I was kind of hoping that QPH would have blown down in the night so that we could all go home, but unfortunately, it was not to be..:D

My bins blew over and the window in my garage had been shattered this morning due to the wind........

Bloody windy at the footy today and it was freezing!

ye anno i hate the wind. It was well cold at stanley especially forking the pitch at end of game wernt it smiffy

Looks like we're in for another battering tonight. Means we'll be at work tomorrow all bleary eyed through lack of sleep.

it should make you sleep better knowing your inside where its warm listening to it outside, it does with me anyway apart from when i wake up knowing ive got to work most of the day outside in it for ten hours :(

Oh bloody gr8 no sleep for me tonight so i'll be up in the v early hrs bugging everyone on the net again lol :(

we've already had some slates off from fri nite so no doubt some more will be off tho i recon more of the neighbours fencing will go n he just fixed some of it lol

my wheelie bin is somewhere on the back or somewhere on the white ash playing fields didnt have time to bring it in as i start work when its dark and get home when its dark and we ve had no street light on our back for the last few weeks cant see a thing out there
