You guys leave it late don't you.
You could have done with Big Kev to test the surface for you !

Stop being so paranoid and precious at the same time!
Even Kevin would've been ok with our pitch this afternoon - there were no puddles, just a bit of frostYou guys leave it late don't you.

Pretty sure the abuse of the ref wasn't because of his name, more because of his ridiculous decision makingStop being so disrespectful.
Referees read message boards, the last thing the club wants is for one of its fans who is consistently full of hate, for no good reason decides to abuse a referee based on his name.

BUT WHY SAY IT?
Its childish[/QUOTE
I almost can't be bothered to argue with you, but how come it's OK for you to say to Cashy "stop being disrespectful" but not for me to say to you " stop being paranoid and precious"?
You say Cashy is criticising the ref for no good reason, eh? May I refer you to Coley's thoughts on the fishy site for ample reasons to criticise the wally.
As a friend of a referee, I know first hand how hard they have it.
damned if they do, damned if they dont.
Calling a game off should no be the decision of a referee.
Traveled for 2 hours only to see on here at half 2 why was there no official announcement quicker, total communication brake down, that's one trip I'll never make again

It was called off too late Dave, Down to that numpty of a ref, who may even be Davs mate? The official announcement was on the website within minutes after the game was called off, that automatically fed out to twitter and facebook. Not sure what else people expect![]()

The Ref leaving it so late is totally to blame imho simple as.Can,t blame the club for lack off communication I was in the Crown and Will relayed the news to the fans inside at about 2-10pm which was,nt long after it had been called off if you want blame Jack Frost and the referee leaving it so late.
But Dav dont think so, so thats summat else i must be wrong about. The official announcement was on the website within minutes after the game was called off, that automatically fed out to twitter and facebook. Not sure what else people expect![]()
What about an announcement on the website that there'd be a pitch inspection at 1:30? The ref said he'd inspect at 1:30 when he arrived at 11:30. Instead we had a wall of silence which contributed to me believing that the match was never in doubt and I had a two hour wasted journey.
I realise that it's a fine balance and the club wouldn't want to discourage potential fans coming to the match, but keeping information from the fans is a step backwards in my opinion.
