Have managed to do some more work on the assignment today and I am on target for having at least half of it done before the hols. Went to Asda this morning, couldn't believe how busy that place is on a Saturday or was it that it was full of kiddies with their harassed looking daddies buying up all the floral arrangement type gifts for mother's day. It makes me laugh that these things are way over-priced at this time of year. My mum will get a good bottle of wine and some very expensive biscuits which I bought because I loved the tin. She'll appreciate that much more than flowers as she likes to see flowers growing in their own environment rather than dying in a vase.
Off to the Stag tonight, there's a singer on so I thought that I would have a night out before going back to work tomorrow. Needless to say, I won't be having much to drink and it will probably be an earlyish night. Only 12 days to go. I still haven't thought much about packing although I have ironed a couple of things today. I will probably do my usual trick of just chucking everything into the bag an hour before I set off. We only have a 20kg baggage allowance which sounds quite paltry for a month. Then again, I went to Menorca for a week last year and my luggage weighed only 8kgs including toiletries and shoes. I didn't wear some of the stuff that I took so I probably could've got away with taking less. I don't think that's bad for a lass, one of my mates used to take everything in her wardrobe including stuff that no longer fit her. She was always way over the baggage allowance and used to shove her case on the scales with mine because she knew that I would be under.
