Hooray!!!!!! I am now on holiday for a week. I have spent the weekend getting over my night shifts which are back to being busy again. I had a couple of quiet shifts two weeks ago and had started to get used to them when things got back to their normal frenetic pace.
We went up to my sister's house for bonfire night and had a good curry and fireworks. Unfortunately I may have had just a little too much red wine, and felt rotten for most of yesterday. Rough or not, I wasn't going to miss going for lunch with Sparks. We crammed a Sunday roast in, over at the Whittakers, then Sparks set off back to France...
He texted this morning to let me know that he'd docked ok at the other side. Before going away this time, we both downloaded Skype so that we can talk to each other through the computer, and it's free....... I look a total plonker sat at the computer with my headphones on though..
I have spent the bulk of today researching my assignment, and have even managed to get a few words down on paper. This week is not going to be much of a holiday, I am trying to get the bulk of my assignment done and some christmas shopping too if I have time. At least when I go back to work I will be on days for a few weeks......
