Go vote!

I went on my way home form work; I think that people who don't use their vote are pathetic and need shaking !
BTW good luck Graham !:)

I'M NOT BLOODY VOTING, SICK OF UM ALL:eek: :DTruth is Kate there's no election in Immanuel Ward this year and if there was I would have already voted, I have postal

Kem Hargreaves was counting off the party faithful when I went to the Town Hall to vote.

I told him they'd be one vote down because of you.:D

I haven't had a vote this time.
Perhaps it's just as well, because although I am a lifelong socialist, and would love to see a local labour council again, I feel that a landslide tory vote would urge the labour party to get rid of Gordo.

I just waltzed straight past him, you know you don't have to tell the people outside the room who you are - they're checking voters so they know who to knock up later.

Got the voting out of the way this morning. I didn’t see any Police there, there is normally a bobby hanging around, or is it only general elections that require a police presence ?

It's true, you don't have to give your number to the parties counting who turns up, but I didn't want them knocking on my door at ten to ten, knowing I as a party loyalist hadn't yet voted.:D

I have voted but this must be the first year that I never received a polling card, good job you don't need it, but was concerned that they didn't ask for any ID, I could have just looked down the list and picked a name and said that was me!!!!!!

I was disappointed I did not have the opportunity these elections for not voting for Janet Storey (C) this time. Ok .. my reasons, would have been facile (dare I mention the 'Silly Cow' incident, well just did I guess), but little things like this wipe out the rest of the good things she may have done for Clayton. Hate Liars, or more kindly, people who avoid the truth.

Rumour has it you might have the opportunity not to vote for her in the next General Election.

Though apparently Tory H.Q. aren't too keen on her being selected.;)

well for the first time in 14 years i HAVENT voted, with only 2 candidates in the local election(labour and conservative) i decided not to bother, yes i know women fought for the right to vote but i dont agree with any of their policies so why should i be made to choose either or?

but the campaign for central ward has been a real d*ck whipping contest. who's cronies can bug the most ppl. and when one party found out so and so was supporting the opposite party - out comes the slanging.

That sounds good news to me Garinda .. 'cause I usually vote blue in the General.

Katex, politicians avioding the truth never:Dnot having it

That's rude.

Ken spoke highly of you.:D
Ya you think so he's the worst back seat driver i've ever had, but he always speaks highly of me as it was me that introduced him to the political arena back in the sixties, I'm a good judge of politicians. Saying that can I recomend you to Graham Jones, ther again happen not:D

I knew Ken when he was in short pants - Anne Widdecombe thought that was hilarious.
He never got to 'play out' with the rest of us -maybe that's why he turned out tory.
sheltered existence unaware of the trials of the working classes - and all that

I think it's sometimes easy to think that your vote doesn't really count.

What brought it home to me that it does, was the U.S. election in 2000.

Millions of Americans had voted, and Bush or Gore's hope of being the most important elected politican in the world, all came down to a handfull of votes in Florida.

Every vote counts.

I didn't really tell him you weren't voting.

That's your business.:)
