good...all good!

Since downloading firefox, I have found that my regular virus scan picks up nothing.

What I mean by that is that my virus checker(Bullguard) sees downlaoded cookies as a minor'threat'.......and each day would pick up 14-17 cookies to clean up.
Now I am mainly using Firefox as a browser, it picks up no cookies....so no threats.

I have also noticed less spam......which (and the computer experts out there will tell me if my assumption is correct) makes me think that my browsing is not being tracked to the same extent.
Which is good, no it isn't good, it is brilliant.

Another success too.
The Kindle. Since this little device made an appearance in my life I have increased my reading.....mainly because I can read for much longer when I go to bed....and also that I can take whatever I am reading on the bus with me when we have our Saturday ride out.

Since I bought my Kindle I have read......The Red Queen - Phillipa Gregory, The White Queen -same author,The Wise Woman, again a Phillippa Gregory, A Grief Observed - C.S Lewis, The Hogfather - Terry Pratchett, and I am almost finished Bones and Ashes by Kathy Reichs.

Not only that, but I have given this reading bug to Miss Bossy Drawers too.......for her birthday tomorrow she is also getting a Kindle with 19 books loaded onto it.
She is going to be well chuffed......Oh and this expensive presentis from her Ma and Pa...all I did was load the books.

dunno margaret i aint no expert, if fact bit of a numpty, all i do know is when i used I.E. my anti-virus would pick up 1 or 2 a week from daily scan, since i switched its very rare if i pick up a virus or trojan once in 3 months, that is fact, dunno the whys n wherefores, but it makes me very happy.:)

Well Cashy, the blurb that went before I downloaded it said that is safer and more secure.......and I remember when I was setting it up I ticked the box where websites are not able to 'track' you.......and I have definitely noticed that it runs smoother......and it must delete all cookies at the end of each browsing session...which is why my virus checker has had little to do.

I used IE9 for something yesterday and today there were 4 cookies to get rid of...so it must be that.
I have kept IE9, but I haven't used it for anything much......in fact I am thinking of kicking it into the long grass...or mebbe the Canal:)

oh i still have it, though never use it, as i said before i once had a site i used was only compatible wi I.E. its now a long defunct site, but i kept I.E. just fer chance i ever got one similar,? doubt it, but better safe n sorry is my thoughts.:)

G...me and Firefox are like that( index finger and second finger tightly together).......IE9 is soooooooo yesterday.
Thankyou, you guys who tipped me the wink....why did I ever think you would lead me astray???? It isn't something you would do to your mother, is it?
