Deary, Deary me, a little over a week after the spectacle of the General election & what have we got ? Mutterings & mutiny, recriminations, threats of revolt & much discontent & that's just on here ! 
let alone in the corridors of power in Westminster ! Once jolly, friendly Chaps & Chapesses who'd happily discuss the goings on in the World, have now drawn up the battle lines, dug in, piled up the sandbags crammed on the tin helmets & are now sniping & lobbing grenades at one another ! 
What's that all about ?
The idea of a forum like this is so people can chuck their ideas into a pot & get the views of others on said subjects, normally it's good natured & banter aplenty, even if not everyone agrees at least a level of civility is maintained (even in some of the more heated debates) without recourse to plain hostility & offensiveness. Sadly with politics that doesn't seem to be the case, it is a very emotive subject & really does raise the hackles of some Folk to extremes!
Why ? No matter how ardent your views when you're up against a "Doppelgänger" who holds the same views but with a different allegiance, result Slanging ,bad mouthing ....... Fisticuffs ? Now where does that get you ?? OK .... A&E at the local Ozzie, but is it really worth it ?
I would like to think we're better than that here in our own little milieu. When you look at it, does it really matter which colour is running the Country ? Lets face it, it's the common folk (That'll be anyone who isn't Royalty or a Lordling & his Lady) who're going to get turned over one way or the other to a more or lesser degree. It'll affect everyone not just the poor downtrodden Working class (As Mancie would have us believe) or the grafting middle classes (which is the bulk of the people reading this) even Rupert & Rupetta the much maligned upper class will be paying their dues too, that's the case when you have a "Welfare State".
It's a fact of life that some will always be better off than others, we never will all be equal, "Comrades" I don't think so some how ! who'd voluntarily want to go work out in the cold & wet, doing dirty jobs instead of being somewhere in the warm with no heavy lifting to be done ?? What ...... no takers ? why ever not ?
If you think long & hard you'll see that life just can't be fair, much as we would prefer it otherwise. If you're not quite sure on this & you still think we'd be better off equal have a read of "Animal Farm" by George Orwell, & for those who couldn't be bothered with a book, I'm sure you can get it & watch it on your Capitalist DVD Player !
So, can we get back to being friends again on here ? It's far more fun that way, so all those grumpy Guss's , raging Rodgers & tantrum Tilly's out there, have some happy pills or failing that, some Beer that usually does the job !
